St. Ultan's Primary School is a co-educational school with a Catholic ethos for more than 360 pupils from Junior Infants to 6th Class, supported by over 60 teachers and Special Needs Assistants.
As part of the St. Ultan's Integrated Care & Education Campus, our primary school sits alongside Early Education, family supports and therapeutic services, so every child is known, supported and given what they need to thrive.
St. Ultan's is also home to The Orchard, our three special classes for children with autism. They offer smaller class settings and specialised support within our inclusive school community.
Our school community is welcoming, ambitious and inclusive, with a strong focus on wellbeing and building children's confidence for the world beyond our gates.
Our approach places the child, family and wider community at the heart of everything we do.
A safe, respectful, inclusive environment where every child feels they belong from Junior Infants right through to 6th Class.
We work in partnership with parents and guardians through our Home School Community Liaison service and regular communication.
High expectations for every pupil, with strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, the arts and SPHE.
Shared campus services mean children can access therapeutic, wellbeing and family supports as part of daily school life.

We are lucky to have our own canteen on campus, fully staffed through our Community Services team.
Every day, Brian, our fully qualified chef, and his team cook a healthy hot meal for each child on campus. That is almost 500 meals a day, for children from babies to teenagers.

If you would like your child to be exempt from the hot lunches provided by the school canteen, please contact the school office. We will arrange a meeting with their class teacher or another member of staff to talk about how best to support your child with school lunches.
If your child brings their own lunch to school, it must follow the food pyramid guidelines. Healthy lunchbox ideas from safefood (PDF)
These foods are not allowed in school lunches:
Staff may remove unhealthy items from a child's lunch and will return them at the end of the school day, sometimes with a reminder about our Healthy Eating Policy.
You can choose a gingham shirt or a plain blue shirt. Parents told us the blue shirts were easier and cheaper to buy, and some preferred the look of the gingham shirt. Our supplier, The Schoolwear House, does not stock the gingham shirts.
The St. Ultan's uniform is sold by The Schoolwear House, Unit D7 Ballymount Cross Industrial Estate, Dublin 24.
Opening hours: Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm, Saturday 10am to 4pm. Closed on bank holidays.
